An OPEN REHEARSAL of The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment
Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford-on-Avon
2.00 pm on Sunday 27th February 2011
The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment is a world renowned orchestra which plays on original instruments to bring out the very best of classical music as it was intended to be heard.
The evening concert has been sold out for months!
This is a fabulous opportunity to watch Sir Roger Norrington taking the orchestra through its paces and he is a real entertainer!

Book your tickets for Valentine’s Evening Concert
Please remember to get tickets ordered in advance for the Valentine’s Candlelit Concert at Market Lavington Community Hall on Saturday 12th February. This is one of the Club’s major fund raising events and we therefore hope that everyone will support the evening, especially as we are so lucky to have top musicians giving their valuable time in order to keep our excellent Club running.
The event promises to be a wonderful evening of music with a chance to hear the rarely performed and beautifully atmospheric “Verklarte Nacht” by Schoenberg. There will also be a romantically themed supper (not without a few treats and a bit of spice!) served in a candlelit setting intended to give club members an opportunity to socialise as well as to attract interest and support from the local community. A similar event last year proved very popular, so hurry to get tickets. Remember there is a discount (adult ticket £12) on pre-booked tickets. Tickets will be available to buy from Liz and all Committee members, at orchestra meetings or by emailing Rosemary Winckley prwinckley@googlemail.com. Please also encourage family and friends to come along.
